Training of enumerators
Dear Friends, Family and supporters of Serendipity,
We are pleased to state that we have reached two milestones in our project to provide access to safe clean drinking water to our communities. We put out a call for tender through the dailies, radio and internet for the works done and got 13 responses for the terms of reference but only 5 sent their proposal (see document attached). Our team of evaluators went through the submissions and have chosen the best driller taking into cognizance the technical capacity and the cost implications. We finally decided to go for the best out of the lot which is Mai Hali Nig Ltd. We have already purchased the PVC casings, the complete pump heads and rods. The rains are gradually stopping thus in the coming weeks we will move to kick starting the project when we are sure we can get which would be geophysical and hydrogeology survey to get the right borehole sites, contract signing with the successful contractor and installation.
The second milestone we have reached is that we have recruited 10 temporary data enumerators that will gather key information from the communities pre, during and post project. They were trained on how to collect the data from the community which is entry into the community (consent and agreement), information gathering all using the application of Kobo collect an online application. They will move to the communities by the 26th of September, 2022.
All of this is possible because of your support and kind donation and upon completion direct beneficiaries will be 1,500,000 persons while indirect beneficiaries will be 3,000,000 persons.
