Corredor Biologico Rio Torres
Corredor Biologico Rio Torres

RC Inmobiliaria and Garnier & Garnier, from the private sector, are also allies in this forest recovery effort in this corridor.

Private-Public and Citizen Collaboration Project

Today we want to tell you very good news! We started a process of environmental improvement and reforestation of Corredor Biológico Interurbano del Río Torres, thanks to the help of the Fondo Ciudad Verde.

The project is aimed at replacing the “elephant grass”, an invasive species that inhibited native species’ growth in urban riverbanks.

This project also has the support of the Municipalidad de San José and Compañía Nacional de Fuerza y Luz with the technical and material support.

In addition, two private companies are allies in this forest recovery effort: RC Inmobiliaria and Garnier & Garnier.

We will be updating on progress, networking opportunities, and learnings that we want to share for the regeneration of our rivers.
