Summary

Baby rhinos often need medical assistance; even surgery because of tiger attacks. VIEW and its partners in Nepal, National Trust for Nature Conservation, (NTNC) need your help stocking the first wildlife hospital in Chitwan National Park. The hospital is under construction and local veterinarians require surgical equipment and supplies in order to ensure the survival of these iconic species. Donate now and your contributions will be matched by a generous donor.

Challenge

Asian one horned rhinos live in close proximity to Bengal tigers in Chitwan National Park, Nepal. Rhino calves are extremely vulnerable to attacks causing severe injuries. With the construction of a one of a kind Wildlife Health Hospital, Nepali government agencies and veterinarians hope to treat these animals so they can be re-released into the wild. Lack of medical equipment and supplies will keep this species endangered. Help stock the hospital and save the rhinos!

Solution

Veterinarians in Chitwan will be able to safely diagnose and treat injured rhinos and return them to the wild only with proper equipment and supplies which you can help provide. By doing so, you are helping increase the numbers of rhinos in the wild. With habitat encroachment and poaching on the decline, managing the health of endangered species is the last piece to the puzzle of animal conservation. Donate now to help save the rhinos!

Long-Term Impact

By supporting the Save a Rhino campaign, you will ensure the sustainability of Nepal's wildlife management and prevent precious wildlife from becoming extinct. According to LIVE SCIENCE, in 2016, the number of Asian One Horned rhinos was only 3,333 worldwide. With a properly equipped hospital and surgery center, you can help increase the number of rhinos -- one at a time. Every dollar will be doubled because of a generous gift from a board member. Save a rhino today!
