Casa Alianza Mexico is an organization with 29 years of experience, which helps children who live in social neglect: the omission of physical, emotional and effective care. Though our attention model they are prepared to become self-sufficient and functional adults. This is done with the support of a personalized life plan, which gives them opportunity to earn their livelihood as they desire. This project helps Casa Alianza to provide medical and psychological attention to these children.
One of the repercussions of social neglect on children is their poor physical and psychological health caused by conditions such as living on the streets, traveling as unaccompanied migrant children or being victims of violence. They are also vulnerable to drug and human trafficking which can significantly aggravate their health. Last year, we made contact with more than 200 children living on the streets and by 2016 more than 18,000 unaccompanied migrant children have been stopped in Mexico.
The good physical and emotional wellbeing is essential for the development of the children under our care. For this reason, medical and multidisciplinary mental health clinics are integrated in its attention model. Every child receives attentions from both clinics when entering to Casa Alianza and, to secure their progress, monthly consultations are provided. In addition to this, the services are available if the children ask for needs them to treat any accident.
Through this process we will provide to medical and psychological attention to 120 children from 12 to 18 years of age at Casa Alianza. This will create the necessary conditions for them to develop their abilities and prepare for adulthood.
