Winter season in Nepal began, and most of the children with or without their families are working in Brick Kilns & stone quarry in Kathmandu. They are deprived from basic medical care. So, we have created ideas to give them medical help while they are working in cold weather in brick factories & quarry sites. Children and their families are not accessible to hospital as well, since hospitals are located in far distance from working sites. The health camp has been expected to benefit 200 families
Children and their families working both in brick kilns and stone quarry are living in horrible conditions. They are not even access to minimal basic health care services & working sites do not have any health clinic or any basic medical cares. The conditions are even more serious during winter seasons. At times they get injuries and needed timely cure and prevention. However, they do not get first aid services timely and sometimes it could be fatal to them. Needed dire necessity of such service
Since the beneficiaries (children and families) would never go to big hospital, and they even do not know how to get reach there and follow necessary procedures, all of them get health services on the spot, one at a time. Medical doctors and pediatricians shall be requested to come to the working sites, and CONCERN Nepal staffs and volunteers will help in collecting required medicines, which will be distributed to the patients. This way the health condition of the workers can be made improved.
The health camp project has targeted at least 200 families, with 500 children (average 3 children each family) working in sites. The frequent health services to the beneficiaries would help to increase their life expectancy rate. There frequent sickness such as cough, fever, backache, chest pain, eye infections, etc. can be treated ant made better conditions. Community people working around the sites would also get aware of the health situation and become aware of early prevention activity.
