Aadithya Arjun, an internationally certified storyteller, conducted an online storytelling and drawing session for students of grades 3 through 5.
She captivated the students by enacting and singing the story and using objects to represent the characters in the story. She then teased their imagination by giving them clues to draw something instead of revealing the topic. e.g. clues to draw a frog were it’s green and croaks.
The students drew with inspiration and quickly shared their drawings online. They now want more such sessions. A teacher from Isha Vidhya, Aragonda, says this session has given them a new understanding of how to tell stories creatively to engage students’ interest.
Shyaamprasadh, a Ph.D. in Finance from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, builds scalable machine-learning and analytics systems. Prasadh recently conducted a "Get Mentored" session for 11th and 12th students of Isha Vidhya.
The session proved to be a boon for students aiming for a career in software development and data analysis. Prasadh spoke about coding being a better and more lucrative career option than computer programming, which is on the wane. He also updated the students about institutions, scholarships, and the scope of employment in data analysis.
Janaki, a grade 10 student of Isha Vidhya Tuticorin school, shared that the session was very informative and motivating. It has given her the confidence to make decisions about her academic career.
We look forward to many students learning about the latest and greatest in the career arena!

This trip has been planned for 21 days covering a variety of landscapes, visiting the 10 Isha Vidhya schools! On their 14th day of the trip, they have covered 1470 kms visiting 9 Isha Vidhya schools!
Currently they are in the final stage of their trip. They say that in each school, they were warmly welcomed with heart-felt greetings. They also share that the discussions that they had with the teachers in each school were moments of happiness.
They are hoping to raise INR 1,000,000 (around US$13,700) for the sponsorship of the complete education fees for 30 students. Let us wish them all the best in their endeavor. If you would like to wish them, you could send your wishes over email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will pass it on to them through our team.
Dr. Raghukumar, a practicing advocate from Hyderabad and a Gandhian, recently conducted a comprehensive “Get Mentored” session on the Constitution of India for the students of Isha Vidhya. He narrated it like a story, and even discussed the constitutions of other countries –making it an interesting discourse.
The students as well as the teachers who attended the session learned new things such as how the Indian Constitution was drafted in public, as opposed to the USA Constitution, which was drafted by the founding fathers and did not involve common citizens in the process.
Vishnupriya, a Grade 9 student, says that Dr. Raghukumar’s sharings were very understandable. The interactions made the understanding easier.
Sridevi, a Social Science teacher, says that the insights she has gained from this session will help her to teach the subject better!
