The CTN Scholarship Aid funds the education of less-privileged children in Ghana West Africa. This Aid focuses on needy children such as orphans and children in deprived communities, who may never have the opportunity to be educated for lack of financial support, and may remain illiterates all their lives without the intervention of a project like our CTN Scholarship Aid. The Aid provides all the educational needs of carefully-selected beneficiaries from basic school to college/university
According to a Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report by UNICEF in 2016 titled "Education for People and Planet: Creating Sustainable Futures for All", about 319,000 children in Ghana between six and eleven years are still out of school. And even with the children that are in schools, only 39 per cent are able to complete High School. This indicates clearly that, even the Free Compulsory Universal Basic Education (FCUBE) policy adapted by Ghana, is still impenetrable for poor people in Ghana.
The CTN Scholarship Aid funds the education of carefully selected needy children, such as orphans, who may never get the opportunity to be formally educated without an intervention like the CTN Scholarship Aid, due to financial challenges. The Aid provides the fees and all educational materials needed by beneficiaries from basic school to college/university. We are currently funding the education of needy 10 children, and we have plans to extend this opportunity to cover 20 more children in 2018
Children who would have never had the opportunity to go to school, would have an equal educational opportunity to equip themselves with the knowledge, attitude, and skills needed for a successful life in future. And they will grow to become well-informed people who would change their own lives, take their families out of hunger and poverty, and contribute to the development of their communities and the world. This will also help to curb street-children and its numerous associated problems.
