The Children Mission Hope of Majose International Quarterly Report July to September 2021

Greetings to you all our supporters in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We at Children Mission Hope of Majose International, wish to express our gratitude to you for all the support throughout this reporting period and appreciate you for your dedication to the service of the unprivileged children we serve.

We want to thank the board and management of GlobalGiving also for giving us this opportunity to share with you what is happening here at Children Mission Hope of Majose Ministry International during this reporting period using their platform.

During this period, a lot has happened good and bad but we thank God that he has been faithful. The good news is that everyone here is well and the children were able to cope with the situation of missing school during this period. we want to thank you for supporting and praying for us. During this period, there were also many challenges which affected the children. This was one of the difficult times in general, because this is the time Uganda went through the second wave of Covid-19, where So many people died and others fell sick including children. This led to closure of schools immediately again until today. The children have been home without going to school. They have relied on procured study materials to study and we thank God that we have been able to go through this difficult time. The education department relied on television, radios and print material to keep the children busy and to further education which created many challenges for us because we did not have television or Radio, we just relied on print material. We thank God that everyone is still alive, and thank you very much once again for your donations which helped us provide the necessary assistance to the children like food, health, study materials and other basic needs. Because of your support, we were able to overcome this challenging period.

Construction:

As communicated in our previous reports, our other major goal is building a secure and decent permanent home for the children. we are happy to report to you that construction of the first building is in good progress, we have completed most of the finishing touches and its left with fixing window and door glasses and connecting power for it to be habitable. We thank you very much once again for the support and pray God’s blessing upon your lives.

We finally want to thank you and appreciate you for the continued support and assure you that with Gods guidance, together we shall meet our set goals. We love you so much and wish you God’s blessing and his everlasting love.

With blessings

The Children Mission Hope of Majose Ministry International Quarterly Report April to June 2021

Greetings to you all our most beloved donors from all of us at Children Mission Hope of Majose Ministry International in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

We would like once again to thank you for your continued support even in these challenging times when we are faced with the second wave of Covid -19 pandemic, we are aware that these have really been bad days for all of us but we thank you so much for continuing to support us even in these difficult circumstances.

The children have really had a hard time coping with these times which affect their normal lives. where they know that they are supposed to wake up and go to school, they have found themselves staying home. Despite these challenges, we are trying everything possible here at the home to keep them engaged, teaching them the word of God, home schooling and also engage them in games and sports.

Uganda is facing a second wave of Covid-19 which has been so deadly and has claimed many lives including lives of some children as there are many variants in the country now which have left devastating effects. However, we thank God that he has kept us to date. We had some children falling sick especially from malaria and chicken pox, and other infections like respiratory infections.

But because of your support, God has seen us through. Your monthly support has assisted us in feeding, paying medical bills and general supplies like soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, Vaseline.

We appreciate you so much for all the support and surely we are very glad.

CONSTRUCTION:

As mentioned in our previous communication with you, we are progressing well with our project the construction of a permanent home and school for Orphans and vulnerable children, currently we have completed roofing and we are now on fixing doors and windows to be followed with final finishing touches. We are so grateful once again for all your support, especially sister Patricia who has ensured that this project becomes a success, we pray for Gods blessings to be with you, your families and your loved ones.

And finally, as always, we thank the GlobalGiving team management for providing us the platform to connect with you.

We thank you so much and wish you all the best.

Thank you! Thank you!

With gratitude,

The Children Mission Hope of Majose Ministry International Quarterly Report January to March 2021

Greetings to you all our supporters in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We at Children Mission Hope of Majose Ministry International, wish to express our gratitude to you for all the support throughout this reporting period and appreciate you for your dedication to the service of the unprivileged children we serve.

We are happy to report to you that the lord has kept us well with all the children. We believe that he has also kept you well as has been our prayer.

We want to thank the board and management of GlobalGiving for giving us this opportunity to share with you what is happening here at Children Mission Hope of Majose Ministry International during this reporting period

We further wish to thank you our supporters for the continuous support you render to us every month, and beyond. We are so grateful for without your support the lives of the children supported by this program would not be the same. We are aware of the many other causes you could have used these resources but you have chosen this program, for that reason we thank you so much and appreciate all the support.

Construction:

As communicated in our previous reports, we are happy to report to you that during this reporting period, we were able to commence on our major goal of constructing a permanent home and school for the Orphaned children in our community. The first building construction has commenced marking the beginning of the construction of a permanent home for the children as shown in the photographs below

This is one of our main objectives of providing a home and a school to the orphaned and Vulnerable children in our community which you are helping us make a reality.

Thank you for the support and for helping us achieve this mile stone.

Education:

During this reporting period, some children were able to go back to school after a long lockdown that has been partially lifted. Candidate class children were allowed to go back to school from October 2020. And now primary seven and secondary level have completed their final exams within this month of March of which some of our children were candidates. We look forward to their results in the coming quarter.

Other children also were allowed to begin and these include sub candidate classes and all the others are reporting this month of April leaving only kindergarten classes and primary 1 to 3 because they cannot manage masks. We are therefore providing them with scholastic materials, uniforms, school fees and other important school requirements including sanitizers and masks which are part of the major requirements now.

Health:

We want to thank God also for keeping the children healthy, despite a few of them who suffered from Malaria and chicken pox, most of other children have been healthy and we thank God for that.

Because of your monthly support, we were able to treat those who were affected and are well now.

Finally, thank you once again for all the support and we pray that the lord blesses you, your families and those you love.

With gratitude,

The Children Mission Hope of Majose International Semi-annual Report July to December 2020

We at Children Mission Hope of Majose International, wish to express our gratitude to you our supporters for all the support throughout this reporting period and appreciate you for your dedication to the service of the unprivileged children we serve.

To ensure that we achieve our primary goal of constructing a home / a school for our children, we are launching phase one of the construction this Coming month of January 2021 with the election of the first building that will act as a store and shelter for care taker of the materials of the other structures to come ahead. The other facilities will commence as soon as the fundraising drive yields the required resources.

We will update you in our subsequent progress reports of the work that we will have accomplished in the coming month.

The children are happy and excited about this great news that work is about to commence that will give them their own permanent decent home when completed and are grateful for all the support you send them monthly through GlobalGiving, may the Almighty God bless you.

Because of Covid -19 pandemic, Schools remain closed with exception of the candidate classes and therefore, one of the activities continue to be counselling of the children to remain focused and how to overcome some of the new emerging challenges related to this situation.

In order to keep the children in focus, we are providing children with home study materials as per ministry of education recommendations.

we buy the study materials for all class levels, print and photocopy the different lesson papers for those children who are not in candidate classes. Children who are in candidate classes, are back to school and we provided them with all school supplies and scholastic materials.

From the previous report, we continued to engage children in extra calicular activities like dance and drama, agricultural skills and other home life skills like cooking, fetching water, firewood. Above all they participate in sharing the word of God, praising, worshiping and bible study for their spiritual development. we continue to guide them spiritually using bible principles.

This year also despite the negative impact of Covid-19, children have had good time praying to God together for a long time, getting involved in playing games hence developing bonds together which is helping them to bond as a family. We thank God for that and being one of our objectives that they live as a family, it has been a good thing.

We are also glad to report to you that during this reporting period we were able to grow some food to reduce on food purchase expenses which is one of our major budget items. when we produce our own food, we reduce on food expenses of which the savings will be channeled to construction. Among the crops grown are beans, maize and matoke as shown in the photos below.

To crown it all, the children had a Christmas /end of year party which they enjoyed and during the party, they showcase their talents which helps them to develop self-confidence and esteem. They were very happy to have one and they also had an opportunity to cut a cake which they get only once a year and a special meal which makes them feel loved and special.

Thank you our supporters for all the support you have provided and because of your support, 110 children are able to have two meals a day, get study materials, receive medication and learn life skills. Without your support we cannot do anything. May God bless you.

With gratitude,

During this period which has been quite challenging of all times in our history, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our friends that have supported us throughout this period spiritually, financially and morally.

We would like to Thank GlobalGiving for giving us an opportunity to share with all of you through their available platforms. We also want to extend our special thanks to all of you our donors that supported us through the accelerator campaign and are still supporting the project to date.

To this we are grateful for you have helped us meet some of our major goals.

We thank God that through the accelerator campaign in March because of your support we were able to meet some of our initial targets, and we are hopeful and believe that you will continue to be part of this family as we work together to achieve our major objective of building a home and school for your children whom  you support which is still in progress and we will continue to update you as it unfolds.

The other objective was to have a sustainable support for the children welfare which has been achieved through you our esteemed donors that have continued to support the project and to this we are also grateful.

During the period, Corona virus has been the major challenge to our children, since March the country was placed under lockdown and the schools were closed which has affected the children greatly in terms of their lively hood and education.

They have to cope with new measure in education and especially the candidate class children who are not clear about their exams.

Apart from the corona virus pandemic, our community was also attacked by measles and some of your children were affected which required to spend more on medical services, which your support made it possible for us to go through that difficult time where movement was limited due to corona various lockdown, thank you once again for if it was not for your support it was not easy.

I am further happy to inform you that, because of your support, we have been able to provide the daily required meals to the 110 children under our care and the essential supplies like cleaning materials, medical and educational materials despite the negative effects Covid 19 has caused in our community.

We are grateful that during this period when it was hard for many families in our community, we were able to go through it without much hassle as your support provided all the essential necessities.

Despite the challenges of corona virus, because the children are not going to school, we have had to engage them in learning life skills and most of it has been in house chores and gardening.

Finally, with your support, on the acquired land we have been able to grow some food, we bought seeds, opened land for cultivation and we are looking forward to harvest our own food which will improve children diet by having various food that constitute a balanced diet and the fruits on the land have started bearing fruits due to proper care which will help in sustainability of the project.

The cost cuttings will help in our goal of building our own home and school for our children.

On this note therefore I wish to thank you once again and appreciate you for your support.

God bless you with gratitude

Marjorie
