Activity report for project#48229

The management of Ave Maria Help for the Needy Association is glad to present our activity report for the last four months. We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to all our benefactors for their financial assistance which enabled us to carry out the following activities. Before we proceed to give our report, we wish to announce to our benefactors the death of one of our community based teachers, through an accident last week. May his soul rest in peace. 1. We completed school fees for 25 children under our sponsorship program and provided them with diadactic materials. 2. In order to enhance effective learning, we organised a workshop with the 14 community based teachers on teaching in emergency. One additional computer was bought to improve on learning and this greatly reduced over crowding on computers section 3.We have been able to pay the monthly allowances to the 4 community based teachers. 4.The 15 students and 17 pupils that we registered for public exams are being followed up. The just sat for the regional mock exams and they did well. 5. To solve the problem of space at our center, three new classrooms have been constructed and are near completion. The center will be able to accommodate more vulnerable children so that they can access education. We use the opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude to our donors and GlobalGiving for this initiative that has open opportunities for children, victims of the ongoing crisis in the two anglophone regions of Cameroon to access education.
