Farmers in Vidarbha are passing through most awful situation due to climate change. Thousands of farmers committed suicide & problem still persists. We are working with farmers at grassroot level & assisting them with sustainable farming tactics. We plans to establish Agri-Clincs at district headquarter to facilitate extension services to farmers leading to sustainable agriculture & entrepreneurship development in climate change scenario. 1500 beneficiaries of 128 villages annually is target.
Last couple of years climate change leads to successive crop failures. Consistent increasing cost of production versus low yield & non remunerative prices of crops bringing distress in farmers making them to commit suicide. Thus Vidarbha has been proclaimed as farmer's suicide prone area by state and central government. Climate Change adaptation and entrepreneurship development is the key for sustainable development. This can be only possible with provision of training and related services.
We plans to establish agri-clinics hub centrally located at district headquarter. Which will be equipped with all necessary facilities and infrastructure with expertise manpower dedicated to serve the needy farmers. Through frequent seminars, training, campaigns, expert advice, information kiosks, field visits, etc. We will address the issue and will assist the needy farmers spread over 128 villages in Washim district. Sustainable agriculture and employment generation is our prime objective.
We want to prepare expertise manpower and resources in area to tackle agriculture issues in district. We want to spread our service from our district to nearby five district to create gainful impact on agriculture sector at Vidarbha region. We visualize employment opportunities to unemployed agricultural graduates, agricultural diploma holders, intermediate in agriculture etc. along with sustainable agriculture development in climate change scenario.
